Pioneer has loads of things going on for young people, with stuff for little ones as well as the bigger ones, whether your 5 or 15, there's going to be something for you to get involved in. Everything we do in terms of youth work is always geared to be "by young people, for young people" so most of the stuff we do is run by young people within Pioneer.
We have strong links with other local churches and Wirral Youth for Christ, who work tirelessly in schools across the Wirral to bring God's relevance to young people.
Kirsty Edward is Pioneers full time youth worker and is involved in all aspects of the youth work within Pioneer, as well as some stuff in other churches.
Sam Hawthorn is a part time youth worker for Pioneer and looks after the Bus and runs the Drum Club at Pensby Community Centre.
Drum and Art Clubs
In March we will be starting out first Drum Club. The aim is to give young people access to percussion instruments they would never normally get their hands on, and some they'd probably never hear of. We hope that we can excite them, get to know them, and maybe open their eyes to their own talents.
We will also be making our space and equipment available for jamming, recording, and tuition.
At the beginning of March we will also be starting up Art Sessions. These sessions are free and a way for us to just hang out, paint, have fun, and probably drink and eat unhealthy amounts of tea and toast in the process. There will be a chance to do individual work and group work, and all work will be displayed on the walls of our make-shift art gallery! Local artists will also in come to run a session every so often.

The Bus
The Bus is a mobile youth work project that is seeking to impact the lives of hundreds of young people on the Wirral. The Bus is jammed full of computer games, a mini cinema, a cafe and a whole load of sports equipment. The Bus is about building relationships with young people and is an opportunity for them to find out what God is all about without having to come to what we do on a Sunday morning. One very special aspect of this project is that it is run by a team of young people. Check out our websitse below or click the advert on the left.
