Daisy's Afternoon Tea

We believe the older members of our community should be valued and respected and as part of expressing this we run an afternoon tea every other Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm.

We have a vibrant and lively group of over 60's, both men and women, who come along to enjoy a couple of hours of friendship, conversation, sharing stories, a quiz or other activity and most importantly cake with tea or coffee.

If you are over 60 please do feel free to join us.  There's no charge and you would be very welcome.

We meet in The Hope Centre, on Fishers Lane.  See our Contact page for the address and a map.

Fun Day

In early September most years Pioneer People Wirral organises a Fun Day on Ridgewood Park (outside The Hope Centre). Some of the user groups from The Hope Centre help run the activities on the day.

These have been fantastic events with hundreds of local residents attending to enjoy a great day out for all the family.  We have some superb attractions, including a mechanical rodeo bull, a climbing wall, bouncy castles and lots of stalls selling all sorts of items such as books and CDs plus face painting for the kids!

Help At The Hope

We have an 'IT Clinic' run by a local IT technician who can help with problems on laptops and tablet computers while-you-wait.  Many problems can be fixed in a few minutes, so feel free to bring your gadgets along.

We're open almost every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12pm.  We're in The Hope Centre, on Fishers Lane.  See our Contact page for the address and a map.

Treasure Hunters

We have a charity shop selling a wide range of stuff including; stocking fillers, hand-made garden furiture, antiques, work clothes, toys, bikes and books!

New Volunteers are always very welcome. More volunteers = more opening hours = more cash to go to some great causes!

Not only do we support our own work through this shop but we work in partnership with Emmanuel Church Pensby, sharing volunteers and splitting the income.

The shop is at 405 Pensby Road, Pensby, Wirral, CH61 9PF plus we also now have a shop in Neston.

Shed Heads

Shed Heads provides the community with a fully equipped workshop so they can gather to learn new skills, engage in peer led training and come together to tackle community projects.

Our Shed Heads have wood, metal, pottery and leather making work area spaces along with general DIY tools available.

Local people gather to share skills with the aim of offering free peer led coaching for people lacking skills. People work on individual creations or community projects such as planters and benches.

Shed Heads is open for business and anyone can become a member. Find us next door to The Hope Centre, Fishers Lane, Pensby.
